Who the heck are you guys and why should I trust you?

We are part of one of the Southeast's largest network of IBM/Lenovo computer and parts dealers. We have sold laptops worldwide and hundreds of customers have trusted us with their purchase on eBay and other E-commerce venues. We are also CompTIA A+ certified IT techs.

What does "refurbished" mean and how is it a value to me?

Refurbished/reconditioned simply means it works and that when the computer comes back off lease it is completely tested and overhauled by IT pros with parts being replaced as necessary.  The computers are then cleaned and run through diagnostics testing for full functionality.  When I get them back from IT I personally run them through a 15 point check system.  While you are looking for computers make sure they are refurbished not "used".  The value to you is that you have a fully functioning machine that you won't have to dump $200 into to get it working.

 

You make your computers sound so great, do your customers ever have trouble with them? 

Yes of course, we would be lying to state otherwise, but our failure rate is only 5%. That means that 95% of our units never have problems! Half of the 5% is catastrophic failure meaning the GPU/CPU fails, the other half is minor stuff that is easily corrected. We make every effort humanly possible to make sure you have a good machine, but anything electronic can and does fail on occasion. Here is the important part though. We stand behind what we sell and in the unlikely event of a failure we will repair or replace promptly within warranty guidelines.

Is it in nice condition or does it look like the kids played street hockey with it?

It looks almost new except for minor usage scratches here and there.  Plastics are in great shape with no cracks or black electrical tape (yes, I have seen laptops sold with electrical tape holding them together), only normal usage scratches, none or very little key wear.

Is the LCD monitor clear with no weak spots or dead pixels?

Yes, the clarity is awesome with vivid color!  Sometimes screens have minor scratches or minor shadowing in small spots, but does not impair the visual appearance to any significant degree.   

Does everything work or am I going to have to dump another $200 bucks into it to get it to work?

It works perfectly! It has been completely overhauled by certified IT professionals.  Battery and AC adapters have been replaced if tested non-functional.

Can I connect to a wireless network or WIFI hotspot?

Yes, all units have an internal or PCMCIA card wireless LAN 802.11 b,g or n included as specified in item description.

 Is it fast or am I going to grow a beard waiting for downloads and program loads?

It is vey fast. The Centrino/Pentium M/Pentium 4 processor at up to 2.4 Ghz is adequate for most user applications.

Can I add RAM?

Yes, but there is probably no need to since we have 1GB installed on all our machines.  Beware of machines with 256MB.  New OS don't like that.  Your pants will go out of style waiting for programs to boot with 256MB.

Does it have a CDRW/DVD drive?

Yes, it has a fully tested CDRW/DVD drive so you can play your favorite music, watch movies, burn music...

Does the battery work?

Yes, they have been replaced with functional ones if tested non-functional. We guarantee at least a 1 hour charge hold time.*
